AS A PARENT DOES YOUR BEHAVIOUR SHOWS THAT YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD?.........the is the agonies of an innocent child

David your food is getting cold, Sarah called, as her six year old son was glued to his Bible. 

She snatched the Bible from him angrily. 

I have told you I'm late for work! What are you looking for? For the past week you've been inseparable from this Bible, Sarah said as she helped her son to adjust his school uniform.

Mom, I can't seem to find my answer , perhaps you can help me. David said. 

Okay but eat first and we can talk in the car. she replied. 

On the way to school he asked Mum, may I ask my question now? Of course ",Sarah replied.

Mum, are there two Jesuses?

What did you say?

Are there two Jesuses?", he repeated.

Who taught you this heresy?, Sarah asked angrily. David knew his mum's temper and started shaking. 

Our new teacher taught us that... Sarah interrupted

So, your new teacher has been feeding you this nonsense!, David said, No he said.....Shut up!! Sarah interjected.

I will go and see him myself! I'd rather go to work late than allow this heresy to continue.

When they got to the school, Sarah walked straight to the headteacher's office and demanded that the teacher be sacked because the teacher was leading the children astray with heresies so the teacher was summoned to the office but he denied ever telling the children that there were two Jesuses. 

So David, now in tears, was summoned and asked:

Why do you think there are two Jesuses?

 Still crying he said: 

Our teacher told us that Jesus is our father and his children behave exactly like him. He said Jesus does not steal, lie, fight or stay away from church and his children are the same.

Okay, that's true but that is not enough reason for you to believe that there are two Jesuses ", the headmistress said, wiping David's face. David continued: 

My mum says she is Jesus daughter, she keeps singing: I am a child of God, but mum still fights, refuse to forgive daddy, I saw her take daddy's money last month and when daddy asked her, she lied about it. Also we have not been to church for about five months. Just this morning, she fought with daddy and was very rude to him so I've been thinking that Mummy's Jesus is a different Jesus from my teacher's Jesus; that's why I kept searching my Bible to see if I would find my mummy's Jesus in there.....!!!

By this time, Sarah was in tears and both the headmistress and David's teacher were looking down in embarrassment!

Sarah was so ashamed that she could not look into her son's eyes........ Our children look up to us  we must not lead them astray. We are their role models. We cannot preach what we don't do. 

Does your character and behaviour make people question whether you serve a different Jesus? 

Are You an example of Christ?

My money,  my house,  my  car,  my  children,  my  certificates,  my  job,  my  husband,  my  wife,  my  families,  my  clothes,  my  shoes.....etc.

My!  My!!  My!!!  What  is  this  life worth?

A  man  was informed  about the  death  of his  father,  but  he  tarried.  When  his  father  started  smelling,  their  neighbors  took  his  father  to  the  mortuary  for   preservation.

A  week  later,  he went  to  the mortuary  to  see the  corpse  of  his  father.  When  he  was  about  to enter  the  place, there  was  a poster  placed  at the  entrance  of the  mortuary,  of which  no  one  can  escape  it.  It  reads:

“WE  WERE  LIKE YOU  BEFORE, BUT  WE  ARE HERE  NOW”

The  young  boy read  it,  but  it didn't  make  any sense  to  him. He  went  inside, checked  the corpse  of  his father,  after  a  few  minutes,  he  made  his  step out.

As  he  was  about  to step  outside,  he  saw  another inscription  placed  on  a  strategic  location,  which no  one  will escape.  It  says:

“YOU  WILL  SOON  BE  LIKE US”

This  last  word touched  his  stone  heart  and  he  repented  from  that  moment. From  that  moment,  he understood, everything  here on  earth  is  like  a  dream,  a  vapor.

Life  itself  is  not  real,  as everything  is temporal.

You  will  soon  be  like  those  that  were  once Living, Eating, Sleeping, Walking, Talking, Laughing  here on  earth but  today ......They're  NO  MORE.

When  he  got  to his  father's mansion,  there was  nobody  to talk  to,  his  father  left  his  shoes,  clothes,  money, bed,  cars, EVERYTHING.

As  he  was  searching  his father's wardrobes,  he saw  untouched brand  new dollars,  well packed  and arranged,  but  the owner  of  the money  was  in  the  mortuary.
  
The  young  boy remembered, “WE  WERE  LIKE YOU  BEFORE, BUT  YOU  WILL SOON  JOIN  US”.

He  cried  the more!!!

- You  eat  chicken   with  vegetables  and  fish,  turkey,  meat , fried  rice, and  drink  wine today,  but tomorrow,  your flesh  becomes food for maggots.

- You  drive  a  nice car  today,  but tomorrow,  a hearse drives  you.

- You  live  in  a mansion  today, but  tomorrow  you  live  in  burial ground.

- You  sleep  in  a nice  bed  today, but  tomorrow,  you  sleep  inside  the  Grave!.

There is no replacement  for your  soul? It is priceless, unique and peculiar. The soul in you is the real you. It leaves on after death. Remember this always.

You  will  lose everything  if  you die  without  CHRIST JESUS and  without  living  for  Him.

Once upon a time there was a very strong soldier who never lost a battle.

His gun is always active. He is a sharp shooter who has never missed a target.

He conquered several dominions singlehandedly...In fact, he became a major general. 

One day, he dressed up for war as usual and armed himself from head to toes ...to the point that even his eye balls were covered. After walking for few hours, he got tired and decided to rest under a tree. 

Few minutes later, he started feeling something moving inside his clothing🙆🏻‍♂ 

Behold it was an ant...👮

The very first thing he threw away was his gun...

In less than an hour he had undressed himself totally.

HOLINESS - YOUR ULTIMATE FLIGHT TICKET TO THE KINGDOM OF GOD

I am to connect a flight to Manchester from an airport but while waiting for my flight to be called I came across a brother who I knew back in Nigeria who was too glad to see me for he has been under my ministration many times. We discussed nearly everything until our flight was called.

The brother got ready his papers and passport but as to my own passport I could not locate it. I searched frantically without success. After sometime the brother had to leave me and commend me to the grace of God to help me find my passport. I ran to the counter, explained what happened to them and asked that they should delay the flight a little so that I can locate my passport because of the crucial preaching appointment i have but they declined.

I watched my friend board the flight and I watched the plane go. Despite the fact that my friend was my disciple, he boarded the flight but I could not. My friend as well as some others in the airport has lots of respect for me because they recognize me as a great man of God yet there is little they could do to help my situation. I have so many other and necessary papers intact but without the passport the authorities would not allow me board the flight.

The theme being considered at the convention of Methodist church Nigeria rounding up today 19-01-18 in which Bro Gbile Akanni is the main speaker is taken from Heb.12:14- Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy, without holiness no one will see the Lord.

The passport issue came about while Bro. Gbile was explaining the words 'WITHOUT WHICH’. The passport to entering heaven is Holiness. Your status, wealth, position, degree or what have you does not count here. Some pastors would be left behind while people that came to know God through them would enter the kingdom of God.

 Some people are majoring in the minor while leaving the most important unattended to. You can score all A’s in all other subjects but with F9 in English and Mathematics, no Nigerian University will admit you.
The airport authorities has a standard which will not be compromised for anybody. Once you are not qualified you are disqualified. You still have opportunity now to get ready for the ultimate flight, once you die or the trumpet sounds, no matter how frantic your efforts are, you will still have to face the consequence of your negligence.

I wonder what else would be important to an international traveler other than his\her passport. Your PASSPORT to heaven is HOLINESS, you better do all you can now to locate it if you have misplaced it else you will regret ever coming to the world. On the long run, I was able to locate the passport where I dropped it when packing other things.

The booking lady rebuked me sharply for being so careless and I think I deserve it. Anyway, I asked them to help me check if there would soon be another flight going my route and I was lucky there is. But what if the one I missed was the last flight or if the next flight has been fully booked. After the incidence, Bro Gbile learnt to treasure his passport dearly and to hold it.
