THE HUMAN SPIRIT
Matt 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Which Spirit is Jesus referring to here?
We have the Spirit of God which is called The Holy Spirit. There is the good spirit of man called The Human Spirit.
There is also the evil spirit. This spirit is the perverted good spirit. When the good spirit is perverted it become the evil spirit.
The Holy Spirit is the Godly spirit which includes the Spirit of power, spirit of sound mind, discerning spirit etc.
The evil spirit consists of demonic spirit, spirit of fear, spirit of error, lustful spirit etc.
In the Bible passage quoted above, Jesus was not referring to Holy spirit, as Holy spirit cannot be poor neither was He referring to the evil spirit as evil spirit cannot be blessed.
Jesus was talking about the HUMAN SPIRIT.

Human spirit is the deepest part of our being and was created by God to contact and receive Him.
It is the spirit that gives man life. Read Gen 2:7 and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
“Man’s spirit is his inward organ for him to contact God, receive God, contain God, and assimilate God into His entire being as his life and his everything.”
It is the contact point between man and God.
This ability of our spirit to contact and receive God can be illustrated by a radio. A radio, turned on and properly tuned, can receive the invisible radio waves in the air. This is something a coffee pot or microwave can’t do.
In fact, a radio is the only apparatus that can properly receive and interpret those radio waves. Our human spirit is like that radio, and God is like the radio waves.
Our spirit is the part of us that can receive and contact God. Our other parts that is our body and our soul are important too, but they function in other ways. It is only by our spirit that we can contact and know God, who is Spirit.
The human spirit is mentioned in the Bible in many places. Some are:
- 2 Tim 4:22 The Lord Jesus Christ be with thy spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.
- Prov 20:27 The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.
- Matt 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
REGENERATION OF HUMAN SPIRIT
Regeneration is accomplished in the human spirit by the Holy Spirit of God with God’s life, the eternal life. Thus, to be regenerated is to have the divine, eternal life (in addition to the human, natural life) as the new source and new element of a new person.
This means that from moment we believe into God’s Son, Jesus, His Spirit enters into our human spirit and we are reborn! We’re born of God, we receive His divine, eternal life in our spirit, and we become His children. Our human spirit is the unique place for God’s Spirit to enter into us to make us His children, and it is also the place from which He goes on to fill our entire being. Once we realize that the Lord Jesus lives in our spirit, we need to apply this revelation by practicing to use our spirit to contact Him and receive Him as our life all the time.
When human spirit connects with the Holy Spirit, they become one, we can read this in (1 Cor 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.)
Some of the things that accompany this spirit marriage is the ability to cast out other spirits and speak in a new tongue.
Mark 16:17-18 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
SPIRIT POSSESSION
Human Spirit is a receiver. When it receives or connects to the Spirit of God, we have spirit rejuvenation or regeneration. When it connects with perverted spirit, we call it possession. It is instructive to know that a believer who has received the Holy Spirit cannot be possessed of the evil spirit.
The Human spirit is very delicate and must be handled well. It responds to circumstances as the situation demands.
When you step into an occultic place, human spirit reacts and your body shivers (with fright)
Sometimes in the church, there are some songs or hymns that human spirit responds to and people begin to cry. This is not the Holy Spirit. When the human spirit is elevated above the flesh, it receives from the supernatural. That is why you can see people even in club houses cry when listening to 2Face music or Davido’s. The same happens when people watch films. This has nothing to do with Holy Spirit rather it is the Human Spirit moving.
When you seek for evil power, you can be instructed to sleep in the burial ground for days. The reason is simple! To awaken your human spirit and connect with evil spirit. When this is achieved, you become callous and unfeeling.
When you see people that can kill and maim people without remorse, just know that they are already possessed of the evil spirit. No human being has the audacity to kill another man unless he is possessed.
Cain was possessed by the devil when he killed his brother Abel.
1 John 3:12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.

Time To Make A Decision
"I come to you Lord Jesus. I know I am a sinner. Please forgive me all my sins. I repent and renounce them all. I accept you today as my Lord and my Savior. Wash me with the Blood You shed for me on the Cross of Calvary. Write my name into the book of life and eraze my name form the book of death and I promised to serve you with the rest of my life. Thank You Lord Jesus. In Jesus name I pray. Amen".
Join a bible believing church where they worship the Lord Jesus Christ IN TRUTH and IN SPIRIT and their preaching focuses on SALVATION, RIGHTEOUSNESS and HOLINESS of God because God is a spirit and he is HOLY, therefore without Holiness no one can please God. Please avoid churches where they worship materials things of this world and not focus on how to make it into the Kingdom of God (e.g. "where the pastor glorify and honor members with big cars, big tithe payment than honoring God Almighty")....Run away from such church, they will lead you to hell fire.
Please read your bible everyday and maintain this new life in Christ Jesus till death or till the second coming of Christ Jesus and it is certain that you will be among the qualified candidate of the Kingdom of God and you will reign with Christ Jesus at the end of time.
